The ride is for everyone – says introduces the film introduces us to what Gran Turismo Sport represents in his vision. On the one hand, this is definitely because the ride in this game is fun and quality as in the previous titles, just now the focus is removed from the artificial intelligence and transferred to the “real drivers” or the small Peric from the server. But on the other hand, someone can understand it too personally, so when it comes to online pride, it turns out that not every driver’s license, even the virtual one, deserves it. Fortunately, such drivers do not have too much, especially if you are fair to others and respect what the game you want to learn before entering the world of competitive driving.
Primarily, it refers to a driving school, only now are not in issue licenses than 48 lessons which are divided into beginner and advanced. Their structure is not too much changed, and they are not something particularly challenging because even a beginner can ride all gild without too much hassle. Also, it is not necessary to finish them all because entering the Sport mode requires another license. In addition to driving school, it can be transported and 64 missions and Circut Experience, which introduces us to all the paths and their curves.
Unlike the last part that has numbered 1100 cars, Sport has only 160+, but at least they are all equally detailed. However, this is again a small figure, especially since the number of different manufacturers is very small if compared to the previous games, and there is no need for a model to come in several variants. Even when taking into account how cars can win on a daily basis by driving a certain mileage, a feeling is created that buying new vehicles is no longer as important as in previous games. Of course, not all cars can be won for free, but in the absence of a variety of races, buying a vehicle is no longer a priority.
The biggest problem with this GT league is the lack of any sense of progress. This, of course, is related to the structure of the game that is facing the competition against live drivers. Although it’s nice to see competitions such as FR, FF or 4WD challenges, the previous sequel to content such as the Goodwood Festival of Speed and Lunar Exploration showed that developers have the imagination for something else that would fit perfectly here because Sport’s new era for GT series.
What could still be characterized as a deficiency relates to the lack of punitive systems that is active in the online gaming segment. It is a bit of a lie that in cups can practically play pinball with opponents when avoiding a blow to a wall or a short track; and all this without punishment. This totally loses the feeling of fair driving that GT Sport is trying to promote, so this content is unfortunately as attractive as the VR component that is so useful that you can totally neglect it. Visual view should not be expected much because the game in VR mode looks blurry as if it were from the era of PS2 games. The accompanying effects around the track have been reduced, but they all rotate at 60 frames per second so that this is an acceptable compromise. However, there is a small risk that you will feel a slight swelling of the stomach even if you do not have nausea when using VR devices, because some paths have nasty stocks – for example, you go down the slope and then suddenly switch to the hill, the curve. Luckily, this does not happen often, so I can say that the ride in the VR is predominantly pleasant. If you are already a PSVR owner, with Dirt: Rally this is your first choice of racing titles, just do not expect VR mode to make any progress in the game itself.
